Description

Some designs survive centuries because they never stop feeling alive.

The Ceramesh Kyusu Shomei Black Red Arabesque is adorned with the timeless Japanese karakusa (唐草文様) motif, an intricate pattern of scrolling vines and blossoms that has appeared throughout Japanese decorative arts for generations.

Traditionally associated with growth, continuity, and prosperity, the design carries a sense of enduring beauty that transcends fashion.

Against a deep matte black kokudei body, the flowing arabesque pattern unfolds in rich crimson and gold, creating striking contrast and remarkable depth. A finely detailed geometric border encircles the upper rim, framing the design with precision and balance. Every surface rewards closer attention.

Beyond its artistry lies the craftsmanship for which Tokoname is renowned. The unglazed kokudei interior, rich in natural iron minerals, interacts gently with each infusion, helping to soften astringency and bring greater harmony to the tea over time.

The integrated Ceramesh ceramic filter provides a smooth, clean pour without metal contact, allowing the full character of the tea to shine through.

With a 200ml capacity, this kyusu is designed for intentional brewing—a vessel for slowing down, paying attention, and appreciating the details that reveal themselves cup after cup.

Hand-selected by AiCha directly from the master artisans of Tokoname, Japan.

ARTISAN TEA CRAFTSMANSHIP

Every piece in AICHA's ceramics collection begins not at the wheel, but in the earth of Tokoname, Japan's oldest kiln city, with a pottery tradition stretching back to the 12th century. Nestled in the Chita Peninsula of Aichi Prefecture, Tokoname's master artisans have spent generations perfecting the art of shaping mineral-rich local clay into vessels of quiet, functional beauty. AICHA handpicks each piece directly from these artisans, not for volume, but for the rare excellence that only generational craft produces. The finest tea, brewed in the finest vessel. That is the only standard we accept.

THE TOKONAME PHILOSOPHY: FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION

In Tokoname, beauty and purpose have never been in conflict. Every piece that leaves a master artisan's hands is governed by one discipline: form must serve function without compromise. The weight must balance. The proportions must feel deliberate. The finish must enhance the brew, not merely please the eye. For those in Dubai and across the UAE who seek teaware of genuine substance and not just aesthetic appeal, this is the philosophy that sets AICHA's Tokoname collection apart.

MINDFUL MOMENTS OF CALM

The Japanese tea ritual has endured for over a thousand years for one reason. It demands your full presence. To warm the vessel, measure the leaves, watch the first pour. Each piece in AICHA's ceramics collection is crafted for exactly this quality of attention. In the rhythm of Dubai's daily life, these are not objects you simply own. They are rituals you return to, one deliberate, unhurried cup at a time.

PREMIUM CLAY AND TEXTURE DETAILS

Tokoname clay is defined not by its colour, but by its composition. Whether fired to Shudei's deep vermillion or Kokudei's rich black, the unglazed interior carries the same fundamental truth: mineral-rich, naturally porous, and responsive to every brew. With use, the clay seasons gradually, absorbing the character of the teas it holds and becoming, over time, a vessel entirely your own. No two pieces leave the kiln identical. That variation is not a flaw. It is the signature of authentic handcraft.
