Its dark, coarse-textured stoneware body stands upright in a cylindrical form, marked by the rustic beauty of yakishime firing. At the front, a wide arched opening frames two round hand-applied ceramic eyes, wide, watchful and unmistakably owl-like, which glow softly in the light of the tealight burning within.

Place your tea leaves on the tray above, light the candle inside and within minutes the gentle heat draws the tea's fragrance upward through the body and into the room. Calm fills the space before the first sip.
