Tea Incense Burner Green Pinecone

The Japanese art of Chakōro is quiet, unhurried and entirely sensory. A tealight placed within the grey Tokoname clay base gently heats the tea leaves resting on the brown clay tray above, not burning them but warming them slowly until their aromatic compounds release into the air.

What fills the room is not smoke, but the clean, roasted, deeply calming fragrance of Japanese tea.

The Green Pinecone Chakōro is handcrafted in Tokoname, Japan, from a grey-green unglazed stoneware clay with fine horizontal sujibiki texture across the body.

Clusters of circular cutouts, arranged in the form of a pinecone, pierce the walls of the burner, allowing both light and warmth to breathe through and casting soft, shifting shadows as the flame burns within.
